Lead the Endurance

This highly-simulated experience is based on the incredible survival story of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s doomed Antarctic expedition of 1914.  The explorer and his crew of 27 men were trapped on the polar ice for years – creating the greatest leadership story ever.

Participants in the Lead the Endurance program are immersed in an Antarctic adventure, circa 1914. Given the tools and resources available to Shackleton and the crew of the Endurance. Your leaders journey through the expedition, gaining new insight into the integral components of leadership, such as choosing a team, setting the big picture, communicating the big picture, and developing strategies to overcome extreme obstacles.

Frequently Asked Questions about Lead the Endurance

How long does the Lead the Endurance program last?
3 hours minimum and ideally 5-8 hours as a stand-alone program. Learn2 designs all experiences to be modular so most can fit your timeframe or expand with additional learning and application.
How many can participate in the Lead the Endurance program at a time?
We delivered 500 participants for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Managers Conference. This program expands by adding additional coaches which allows you to add additional tables of 6 to 8 participants. Tables can support different languages also. All participants engage and receive the same learning at the same time.
Lead the Endurance seems, well...wildly different! Are you sure my participants won't think they are silly?
Doctors, lawyers, accountants, engineers, executives and Olympic athletes & coaches say no. The immersive environment and challenge guarantees engagement.
What kind of space do we need for the Lead the Endurance program?
Teams in round tables works best. Avoid boardrooms unless you have one large team like a board – as the table dominates the room and allows very little flexibility. Clients also choose to run Lead the Endurance aboard ships in Chicago, Grand Cayman, Mexico, Montreal, and Toronto.
Can Lead the Endurance activities accommodate those with disabilities?
Yes. Learn2 have achieved results with the Special Olympians, the Deaf Blind Coalition and Paraplegic Association.
How much does the Lead the Endurance activity cost?
Investments vary, based on the number of participants, travel, etc. Many clients are shy about sharing their budget, but we will work within your budget to provide you with a program that will meet your needs. A smaller budget may mean there are fewer bells and whistles, but you can still get a big bang for your buck! We won’t leave you out in the cold.
