Position Description

Do you want to become a Digital Graphic Designer Intern who will bring our brand to life and keeping it consistent across all our various platforms and channels?

The highly skilled and organized Digital Graphic Designer Intern is an integral part of the team to produce aesthetically beautiful assets and will string the company’s voice across all value-added content (eBooks, blogs, whitepapers, infographics, etc.).

The Digital Graphic Designer Intern reports to the Manager of Making it Happen, and works closely with the VP Program Development and other key team members, including the CEO. The ability to work collaboratively and creatively within a distributed organization is vital to this position, since team members are in different locations.

The Position

Position Responsibilities

  • create any new program materials (logos, participants manuals, facilitator manuals, invitations, badges, biographies, cards, forms, signs) for new or updated programs
  • create PowerPoint presentations for program content
  • format all old program materials as needed (logos, participants manuals, facilitator manuals, invitations, badges, biographies, cards, forms) until all programs have a unique, consistent look and feel
  • assist Logistics in changing and printing program materials for upcoming scheduled programs, including invitations, manuals, badges, cards, forms
  • continue to develop and improve website
  • update news pages and program listings, create new and interactive forms and surveys
  • continue to develop and improve in-house brochure
  • edit and proofread any new content, design layout specific to look and feel for any new program additions
  • proofread and layout one-pagers for new programs
  • generate ideas, edit, proofread, and create layout for marketing materials
  • create templates for regularly used documents in line with L(earn)2 look and feel
  • proofread and format proposals for Practitioners upon request
  • develop and design any new branding materials with rest of team
  • create or format any graphic materials for the office

Experience

Relevant experience in graphic design for business is helpful; 1 – 2 years minimum. If you have to learn everything, then be prepared to invest your own time learning after hours and weekends.

Education

University Degree or College Diploma is preferred – although proven experience is more important. Self-taught is also preferred, if you learned how to do it to get it done for someone – show us.

Location Info

The Digital Graphic Design Intern will work in Etobicoke at the Learn2 office at 2970 Lake Shore Blvd. West. We are located on the Lakeshore Street car line and a bus ride from Islington TTC station.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel is required for this job. Travel expenses are paid for or reimbursed by Learn2.

Hours

This is a full-time (37.5 hrs/week), Internship position for a period of four months beginning April 2017. If you become indispensable then who knows how long you’ll work here.
