Position Description

Do you want to be a Content Marketing Intern to produce content assets regularly, to expand the brand’s digital footprint, and be a champion of developing high-converting marketing campaigns?

Do you want a role that requires creativity, superior writing skills, attention to detail, and project management skills?

The Content Marketing Intern is an integral part of the marketing chain working with others in the Marketing team to produce content for the monthly editorial calendar, and will amplify our voice across all value-added content (eBooks, blogs, whitepapers, infographics, etc.). You will have a dual-minded approach: You’re highly-creative and an excellent writer who can be process-driven, scale up results, and use data to innovate.

The Content Marketing Intern reports to the Manager of Making it Happen, and works closely with the VP Program Development and other key team members, including the CEO. The ability to work collaboratively and creatively within a distributed team is vital to this position, since team members are in different locations.

Our CEO wants to find a team of eager individuals who can create social conversion pathways to start a business with. The Position

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, revise, and monitor campaigns around personas
  • Create a minimum of 3-4 free resources each month to attract subscribers, increase awareness, and begin the conversion pipeline
  • Writing various types of articles on a wide range of topics for our blog to attract site visitors through search, social, and our email subscribers
  • Provide feedback to other contributors and editing other writers’ work
  • Optimize emails and content for search engines and lead generation
  • Grow our subscriber base by providing regular, helpful content that’s intune with specific buyer personas
  • Conduct innovative projects based on analytics to improve blogs, conversions and value to buyers
  • Collaborate with Learn2 Practitioners to produce relevant content for key stakeholders and our buyers
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience

Relevant experience in content marketing for business is helpful; 1 – 2 years minimum. If you have to learn everything, then be prepared to invest your own time learning after hours and weekends.

Education

University Degree or College Diploma is preferred – although proven experience is more important. Self-taught is also preferred, if you learned how to do it to get it done for someone – show us.

Stuff we want you to have ideally

  • Experience working with Wordpress, marketing automation software, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite
  • Background and interest in learning and development
  • Experience with business to business sales

Location Info

The Content Marketing Intern will work in Etobicoke at the Learn2 office at 2970 Lake Shore Blvd. West. We are located on the Lakeshore Street car line and a bus ride from Islington TTC station.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel is required for this job. Travel expenses are paid for or reimbursed by Learn2.

Hours

This is a full-time (37.5 hrs/week), Internship position for a period of four months beginning April 2017. If you become indispensable then who knows how long you’ll work here.
